Misadventure with breadmaker

Today my breadmaker decided to fail on me. It went dead after kneading the bread but before baking it. The dough in the pan had fully risen so I decided to put it in the oven to finish it off.

As the pan is vertical I decided to lay it on its side in the oven. What I didn't realise was that the dough could still flow. A while later when I checked, the dough had flowed into a wedge shape before being baked, and there was a croissant shaped piece of bread at the bottom of the oven where the dough had flowed out. Except for some edges, the bread was perfectly baked and very tasty (Lauke sourdough rye with chia added by me). I had the "croissant" for lunch with cheese and tomatoes, yum! I had to laugh at the resulting loaf or wedge. I'll be reminded of this as I consume the loaf this week.

Now to buy a replacement breadmaker.
